I've been there with one of my friend alot of times and we have heard footsteps in the cellar and seen shadows and voices in the other cellar

The green lady of strichen was a servant girl who walked from the house into strichen,to collect fresh bread and papers,she would have walked up past the orchard towards the the stone circle then head towards the small wood just before the old road a short cut rather than walk the road itself,then onto the old road heading towards the lake,i only know this as I was one of many who saw her one evening,er must have been 6 to 8 of us walking back from the old house heading past the two small woods between the old road,only 3 or 4 of us managed to stay and watched her cross over the field, hesitate at the fence cross over point,then head off in direction of old house, the others took off like bullets, she has also been seen at the large oak tree propped against it as if she was crying or praying....it is known that she was killed by a loose bit of masonary which dislodged from the roof and hit her on her way back from getting bread and papers, she also took a short cut into the house via the secret entrance to the wine cellar, hence why she is known to live in the cellar

Dude, that sounds totally gnarly and one of my teachers at Strichen Primary School shared the same story with us. She is known as "The Green Lady" as she died in a green dress. When she got the telegram, she stabbed herself and fell out of one of the second floor windows that very night!! Like totally!

strichen house is haunted by the green lady she lives in the cellar you can climb down to!!!! and climb back up. You can hear her scream when you go past ive lived in strichen for years. Its creepy up there i wouldent to suggest to any kids............. the green lady killed herself when she got a telegraph saying her husband died fighting in ww2 or ww1 im not sure but it was there wedding day or something.........

as you stand at the stone circle its a amazing view well worth the walk up the hill and its about time the national heritige payed attention to it
