10th May 2005 at last!

Conor finally gets his hands on an SLR,
not a digital one though.
He last got hold of my old Praktika MTL 3 when he was about 5.
And he dismantled it.
That was the camera I bought with my first pay packet when I went away to sea,
so it has been around a bit.
I never use it now,
so I let him have it.
He has had it round his neck all day.
We took it into Aberdeen.
Conor had the dentist,
and the morning off school.

cosy ambience!
BTW what would one do with a dismantled camera around the neck? Just curious. ;)

A very warm shot. The young man so engaged in a library of books is a heartwarming sight.

He's taken an interest-encourage it. I have a clock that was my grandmother's from the 1800's. My brother dismantled it and it struck 144 times at midnight. Boys just love to see what makes things work (big boys, too).

Oh, I thought you were going to say at last he's taken to reading books...;>)
I would like a dollar for the innumerable times I've seen boys dismantle items.
Like the cosy feel to this bookshop.

Yes, a very nice room. Wonder how long before Conor wants his own DSLR?
