The undeveloped bush section of the campus of James Cook University, Townsville, Australia. The university has plans to turn it into upscale residential housing, smart coffee bars, etc, transforming the campus from a unique paradise at the edge of the city into yet another suburb. I love progress.
Being a former geology student...I remember this creek well, hidden beauty right next to the campus. The exposed creek embankments reveal previous massive landlsides with periods of massive erosion and deposition. I wonder if the people planning development here know its history? Shame it's gonna go from what you say, I certainly won't develop on it!!!

So sad, tell them to use the creek, trees ect... and incorporate them into the plans saving a lot of the natural habitat.
