Common Mistfrog, Litoria rheocola, near Innisfail, Queensland, Australia IMGP5192
near Innisfail, northern Queensland, Australia
Far from "common", this is an endangered species. It was previously common over a large area of the Australian Wet Tropics rainforests, but in the early to mid 1990s, it disappeared from all places it occurred at elevations above about 500 metres, probably due to outbreaks of the amphibian chytrid fungus.
