Really nice to meet you at the weekend and looking forward to your pics. I'll come back and look through your galleries when I get a chance.
Norman - I have recently been introduced to PBase by an old school friend and when I tried entering 'Hull' as a subject, I found your pictures. When I saw your photo - I realised that Liz & I know each other at Talking Mag! Small world! I am new to digital photography, my pictures do not warrant a PBase site, but it is fascinating seeing other people's galleries, very enjoyable. (The friend is Chris Hadden and her site is very nice!)
Thank you, Susan Connolly
Thanks Norman for helping me set up my own site. I will be so pleased if mine ends up only half as good as yours!
Keep up the good work you're an inspiration!
Lovely pictures Norman, so glad I came to have a look. Will be back again!
Wow, I had the same message from AYU, from the university of Kent. Did you answer? I did but never had another reply? Strange huh?
Good to see your latest shots. Hope you've had a good summer.
As ever, Simon
Thanks for your messages and encouragement. I've been looking again at your work ... and note that the Wengen scan is gorgeous.
But the other thing that speaks to me about your photographic eye is your interest in reflections ... something I really share. I love water and its effects upon everything. The sea, especially, for me is restoring. Rivers, canals, ponds - and reflections in all of them - always catch my eye and still me for a time. And the joy of other people's photo's is that you can share in experiencing scenes you'd never otherwise have seen!
I love your autumn marina reflections. I very much like your A40 fountain 2, too.
My current favourite in your collection though is DSCF0016. The pinks and blues of the skies are reflected mysteriously in the wet planks of the ? pier ? The lamps, too. There's a stillness and a 'scent in the air' which makes me want to visit the scene.
Brilliant. Keep up the good work ... and stay in touch ... that's a whole new area of interest and enjoyment in photography that the web affords us. Have you been eyeing up the new Canon EOS D10 like me? I think I'll have to wait a few years!
Until next time ... thanks:
Hi Norman, I really enjoyed your pictures. Thanks for telling me about it. I'll check it off and on to see what you add. God bless.
I loved looking at your photo's, Its hard to choose which I liked the most but I think Sunrise must be near to the top of my list, -
