October 7th, 2009: Sampling from a trial afternoons shoot. Sea gulls: first field work with the recently released Canon EOS 7D.

Update: In the brief time that I used a 7D on trail for one week I experienced gains in the 7D feature set, including handling and AF capture performance relative to the xxD series. However my perception was the 7D showed lesser image quality in regards to noise as low as 250 iso, (see 100% crop samples) relative to the detailed and subtly smooth tonalities of the 1DMk1V, and 1DsMkIII files. I did experience the 7D as an excellent camera body in many regards, and recognize the noise I experienced at relatively low iso settings may or may not be characteristic of other Canon EOS 7D's.
