Ruins at Gilla.jpg

The Anasazi people lived in many remote canyons of the Southwest. Some communities were composed of only a few self sufficient families.
Trade routes were fairly extensive. Artifacts found in some ruins pointed their origin right into what is now Mexico.
I like painting rough ruins like this as a testement to the tough, resourceful people who lived here.

Wow - big change! I'd still darken the base of the center green leaves.
