Washed Up

Oxfordshire

Day 18

Took a lunch time walk along the Oxford canal today.
Found this old shoe in a overflow gate - I love this PAD, never would have found this otherwise!!

please click here for faster shutter speed version - which do you prefer, I couldn't really decide?

This one. Definitely prefer this one! No competition. This one the shoe is much more in focus and the subject of the shot. The other it's indeterminate and messier. This one pulls it all together!

Cool shot!

I prefer this one, because the shoe is more the main subject.

both are very interesting but my preference would be the slower shutter speed

Striking image! Love the contrast of the detail on the shoe and the softness of the water. Nicely composed.

Very nice, and I like this shot better.

I like slow shutter speed. Makes it easy on the eyes.

I'm not usually a fan of motion blur water but this is excellent. I prefer this one.

Excellent composition and bringing an interesting subject to a well know theme. Great shot to be sure!

PAD certainly makes you open our eyes and see (hopefully). Great shot. :-)

Since your asking I'm partial to this one, although both very good and tell a slighly different story. Excellent image. ~V~

Superb shot, Perfect...

interesting alternative to the long-exposed waterfall image ...
JW18-Jan-2006 19:38
This is really good. An interesting take on the usual waterfall pic. The old shoe is in stark contrast to the water.
