We purchased our horses from the Pakistani Army at Remount Depot in Sarghoda in 1988. We brought then by truck to Peshawar and kept them at the Police Horse Lines at Sherqi Tanna. We trained them in the army stadium that was then under construction down the road from Sherqi Tanna. The winter of '88 we boarded with a certain general we knew who had a stud farm in Toba Tek Singh, in the Punjab (about 50 miles south west of Faislabad). This was the stable they stayed in.
