Just spent a enjoyable tour around your images.... Absolutely superb.... Thanks for sharing...
Being a keen munro basher myself, I might just bang into you one day on the tops........
Looking forward to many return visits.......... I'll be back.
Hi Steve. I have been looking at your images and they are some of the best I have seen!! I think you capture the beauty of the mountains at their best. I will be climbing them with some friends over the next few years and hope to capture some images, which if they come anywhere near yours will make me a very happy guy.
Look forward to seeing more of your images.
Hi Steve wonderful images.
I am also on epz daviewat and i thought you may be interested in a couple of meets planned for the east side of loch lomond ???
E-mail for details if you wish.
excellent photographs steven from all at murieston castle
I've just gotten started here at PBase and ran accros your work. Seems that we've got some of the same haunts (Prague, Yucatan, CA coast, etc).
Seeing your work is both heartning - because it show what can be done and gives me the incentive to do it - and daunting, because it makes me question the quality of my work - your's is excellent. For now, I have mostly (with a couple of exceptions) concentrated on posting old (slide/neg) scanned work of family and travel. Didn't realize how much work this would be for my older shots when I started, but figured thatif I started to post me newer stuff I would never go back... which looking at it now is probably true.
I love the monochrome section - beautiful treatment of light, which I find is not easy to do with digital.
Thanks again for displaying your work - if you have time drop by mine and give me a critique.
I am going creasy looking at your landscape shots. They are truly exceptional. Thanks for sharing.
A magnificent body of work, Steven!
I loved the panoramas and Munro pictures ~ you have such a good eye for light and composition.
I shall mark you as a 'favourite artist' and hopefully return when I've a little more time to enjoy them!!
Kind regards and thanks for your comments!
Thanks for visting my galleries and leaving comments, you're off to the Karakorum aren't you you lucky man! I'm thinking of Tibet for next year - starting in Lhasa then off to the Kangshung and Rongbuk faces of Everest. If possible a visit to Kailash too.
I must say I would love to do the Karakorum too...Trango Towers, Concorida, the Gasherbrums and K2..wow!
My camera's been hibernating for a month or two, and visiting your galleries has truly inspired me to go out there and take more pictures.
Your work is truly wonderful - I have not seen anything as good as this since I've been on Pbase. BOOKMARKED!!
Good luck in Pakistan

Your galleries has been the find of the day. You obviously have got an eye for beauty, and the skill to capture it well. I've enjoyed browsing through your photos, and will be back for more.
Thats no problem at all- but I am having trouble emailing that address you left- can I recheck with you that (email@example.com) is correct?
Can you remember on the 31/07/04,you took a picture of four guys up in the hills and told us to check out your website.I wondered if you were able to post me the picture as we forgot to take a camera.
Many thanks Roger Blamire.

Steven, you have some outstanding images taken with the EOS 10D. I'm looking to buy the 10D soon (money permitting!). I can't wait to see how it performs. Great work, keep it up.
I like your pictures they and your technique are superb!
I hope many people will look at your pictures and this is why I mention this small error you made at all. Please correct your equivalent focal length calculations :) The crop factor for a 10D AFAIK is 1.5 so the equivalent focal length for 15 mm is only 15 * 1.5 = 22.5 mm and not 72 mm as you state in your 'Assignment' pictures.
Beyond words, simply remarkable images! Does talent and natural ability rub off> If so, let's hang out.......
You're on my favorites list as well! Excellent composition and you do pick some of the nicest spots on earth to take your camera along!
Thanks for the comments on my Galleries Steven. You have a great collection of stuff. You're on my favorites list!
Steven, you're a very talented photographer!
Absolutely wonderful photos here. You have re-inspired me to get out there and improve my photography.
Hi, Steven, your photos are nice and i like your panoramas especially.
You have been in my favorites for a long time and the quality of your work just keeps getting better and better. Keep it up! :)
Thanks for dropping by. Your landscape shots are great. I wish I could go to Scotland to take some shots some day.
Can I have permission to link from my website at
to your photo of Winston barracks?
Ed Boyle (who once was briefly stationed there)
Beautiful pictures! I especially liked the black and whites, and you have made some gorgeous color landscapes as well. Good stuff!
I have got rid of my D30 and am now ready for the 10D, or maybe the EOS3D (or whatever it will be called) I had the 15-30 with the D30 and enjoyed my visit to your albums, especially your first 10D images. Colours appear stronger than from the D30 and you have appeared to have mastered sharpening very well.
Much enjoyed and thanks.
