Photos of my visit to the Santuario de Chimayo chapel at Chimayo, New Mexico. I wanted to bring my fiancee Theresa Weber to this chapel, back in 2004, when she had Pancreatic Cancer, but she felt so lousy with all the chemo. She believed in the angels, that all have someone looking over them.
This chapel was so beautiful today. Can't photograph inside, but I met and spoke to the priest there, who was a small fellow, that had come over from Spain in 1951. I went inside and sat down on the front pew and said a few words for Theresa. Inside was really inspirational...
Many believers over the years, have found physical, emotional, and spiritual consolation, after a pilgrimage to the pit of the holy dirt.. where a crucifix was found on Good Friday in 1810..
