America from the rails

Concreted rail grade crossing.

This shot was taken at a rural grade crossing in Acadia Parish Louisiana.

I took this shot with the permission of a BNSF foreman who was at the location. It is a public crossing, BUT IT IS STILL RAILROAD PROPERTY. There were no trains coming, I had a scanner with me as always, and the employee had a company radio in his truck. Do not take photos such as this one without permission !!!

Railroad property is dangerous, and private.

The Fuji 9100 made the angle possible, with the hinged LCD viewer, we could have put the camera on the rails and shot it.
