Brand new GE locomotive on display at National Train Day, 11 May 2013, at Ft Worth Texas.

This was the first unit to come off the assembly line at General Electric's facility in Ft Worth.
The 4400 hp unit was part of the static display of railroad equipment. The locomotive rolled out Thursday afternoon.

This shot was taken before the event began, there is an active railroad mainline behind me. After several people walked up the rise toward that main, it was determined that the walkway to this side would be barricaded.

Unfortunately many of us "railfans" cannot resist the urge to put ourselves in grave danger resulting in the loss of the sunny side of this locomotive.
