The store was built in 1847 and has been in operation since. Not too impressive looking from the outside, but tt is still a viable business. Just walking through the doors it seems as though you have entered a museum.

Jonesville is on the former Texas Pacific railroad line from Shreveport to Dallas, just a few miles into Texas from the Louisiana border. Ther railroad main passes just a few feet behind the store.
