In the morning we had a dry landing at Bartolome Island where the rest of the group climbed to the top to see the view (see Penny's pictures from her Canon S230 at the end of the gallery) while I stayed behind, close to the landing, at the top of a cliff, to take bird pictures. These were taken with the Canon 20D and a 70-300DO Canon lens. At the time I was pleased. Now, seeing them on a computer screen, I want to go back and try again! As out-of-focus as they may be, and poorly exposed, these pictures were a thrill to take. This 30 minutes of photographing birds in flight close up would have made the trip a success for me even without all the other wonderful things we did. The last nine pictures in this gallery were taken by Penny with her Canon S230 on her climb up Bartolome while I remained below.
