You can see here the Great Bustard in its environment in Villafáfila, Spain.
These large birds are often seen in groups from 3-5 to 25 and more, foraging together in cultivated areas.
These pictures have been taken without hide, usually from the car or from the track with a tripod.
In the same way, we did not use any playback to attract the birds.

The groups are walking slowly, feeding on the ground, or sometimes flying over the corn fields.
Several pictures may appear slightly blurred, but the birds are fairly far from us. In addition, the light is very hard, and the car raises a lot of dust, that does not help for sharp pictures!
These pictures show the birds as we can see them in this type of habitat, sometimes only one or two heads above the lucerne, or head, back and tail moving regularly between two cultivated fields.
A great bird, under protection and active conservation measures, but still classified as Vulnerable, although the Spanish population is now stable and probably increasing.
