The Great Bustard is resident in Spain.
This bird frequents large plains ands steppes. It is gregarious all year round.
Males perform wonderful courtship displays in spring, gathering at leks where several males display together.
The first images below show a group of males feeding and walking together in the middle of the afternoon. Adults have long white moustache, but the immature lacks it.
Following these photos, others pictures show a group of females and immatures feeding together. Close to the flock, an adult male semms to guard them.
Then, they take off together, always with the large male.
