Along the road again: the big surprises!

Along the roads between Cáceres, Trujillo and Torrejón el Rubio, several surprises were waiting for us.
The two first pleasant encounters occured at sunset, with the Common Cranes near a small pond were they will roost for the night, and the second with the Spanish Imperial Eagle perched on a bad electric pylon.
In both cases, it was difficult to stop the car on the roadside, and the light was very low. But these birds were so beautiful that we tried to make an effort and in spite of these difficult conditions, we got several pictures more or less good!

The third encounter occured in the late morning, along the road again, in a pasture were we saw several vultures around a carcass. There were one Monk Vulture and several Griffon Vultures around the skeleton of a sheep. The Monk Vulture was the dominant, and we saw several typical intimidation behaviours and a very well established hierarchy between the vultures.

I hope you will enjoy these pictures...
