It was great to meet up with Lee, Ann, John and Bruce and Helen Little.
We explored the Hartland Quay area and walked along to Spekes Mill Mouth waterfall... incredible scenery, not bad weather & great company!

Very nice shots, would you be kind enough to tell me if they are straight from the camera
without any tweeking in photoshop,I've been considering the Tamron 18-250 for my nikon D80
up to date I've tried the nikon 18-200vr that was awful, nikon 18-135 that was better but not sharp. next the 18-70 better, but not still not really sharp., at the moment I'm sticking with my Sigma 18-200 non os, which gives quite good results, would like a zoom that
would show a marked improvement,I do a lot of railway photography so I need a good reach,
have even considered going over to canon,almost everyone I meet uses canon, all the test reviews I read on the net are done with canon rebel camers, yet review of canon lenses are not good,for instance the canon 24-105 F4 says bad distortion at the 24 and 105 end and only gets about two and a half out of five,just don't want to carry a bag of lenses around
it lets dust onto the sensor changing,and at the same time as well as long reach wide angle too.any advice welcome. jimbarr@dsl.pipex.com
