Hey Niccolo,

Oops there...Well my ID went well fore sure hehehe. Well I've done that here in FujiColor Hong Kong and that's why I get nice results. I'll inform my friends there in Manila to advise them not to do any "enchancing" for their prints. Instruct them to do "as-is" just print them.

Geeezzz don't get me wrong but I not too keen in doing my own prints, even doing PhotoShop (not that I don't do it but I don't have this software) I'm just a newbie (it's been years-pathetic me) and mostly prints comes straight from the camera (my P&S spoiled me a lot). I do a bit of saturation, sharpness , just a little tweaking to make it work with the included software like ArcSoft.

Perhaps I learn someday...who knows!

ey jom! thanx so much for ur post, it's such a shame that you got poor results from fuji, when i myself is a fuji endoreser of some sort.. ha ha ha... i have recently shifted to fuji finepix S2 Pro from Canon, and i have always had my works printed at fuji, the same place as you did, in Giftgate glorietta... people there actually know me :) here's the thing... all through my photography career, ive always searched for the right printer, and this took me bout sometime to finally settle with one... having ur photos printed doesnt just include going to a good printer lab... it actually involves you too... you need to calibrate ur PC or LAPTOP monitor to your printer labs color quality, this is kind of hard to do, how do you do this? i never really knew how to.. hahahah... but this is what i did, looked at the prints, say there is too much red, too much yellow etc... so when i edit my photos i try not to put more red or yellow in it... or say the photo has less black, then i put more black in it... another key is to specifically tell your printer to "do not enhance" usually these people apply several enhcancements such as brightness/contrast and color correction... ive always told them from the beggining not to correct, and now they already know that when i have something printed out they shouldnt do anything with it... and if u are unhappy with ur prints, bring them back, tell them ur not happy, and they will have em reprinted... i hope i dont disapoint you, but i really cant recommend any other photo labs here than Fuji... please dont hesitate to contact me for further queries.. :)

Your work is AMAZING! I’m a newbie and a photography enthusiast based in Hong Kong. You have so much passion in photography. The composition, light, everything is AWESOME!

I need your advise re photo printing in Manila. I visited Boracay with my family and surprising ourselves with "wow" results. I guess I had luck with all the sun and beautiful sceneries in the Philippines. I sent them a copy (CD) and saw the beautiful images in the computer. They brought the CD and had it developed at Fuji Color at Gift Gate Makati. They were so surprised and disappointed. The colors are so unreal. The colors appeared to be artificial and too "rich." However, they said, “that's the way they want their photos”. Again had the same pics developed at a Konica Digital Photo Shop and they're quite happy. The colors aren't that bold and don't "bleed" and are not as artificial looking as the ones developed at Fuji. I did all the basics like the image file from the digital camera downloaded to a computer and then burned to CD. Some of the images were edited and then burned to CD for digital photo lab printing. Photo Labs in Hong Kong never had any problems developing my digital images.

Do you have any suggestions where they can have our pics developed in Manila to obtain its optimum quality?

Hope to hear from a professional photographer...lol.

Hi Rai, am sorry for the late reply as I have been busy with work, pero i do appreciate it when people drop by messages on my site :) so about your question, my photos are all products of digital photography, so its digital camera plus the ingenuity of adobe photoshop, i would actually call myself an artist rather than a photographer alone.
