This hatch year Arctic peregrine was first found in October by banders at the Cape May raptor banding station. Then in late October he was found on the ground at the Cape May County Airport. He was transported him to Conserve Wildlife and was examined and found to not have any major injuries. The next day he was transported to The Raptor Trust and over the past two months was rehabilitated.
On the 26th of December, he was transported south and released near where he was found. What a great experience to see this beautiful young bird go free! Thanks to Ben Wurst of Conserve Wildlife for letting me witness this event.
