High Dynamic Range (HDR) Images are captured using multiple exposures that are blended together in software - in this case, I used Photomatix. Depending on settings, different "looks" can be achieved - from surreal to "artsy" to photorealistic. The goal is to display a range of tones that cannot be captured in one image due to the limitations inherent in the camera. These were my first attempts at HDR, with varying degrees of success.
