Last Day with Orange Eyes

What amazing animals, it's hard to look these guys in the eye with such an odd color blazing back at us.
Well, this was our last day of taking Sheep Shots and I was truly sad to see our adventure coming
to an end. It did end with a very interesting encounter as we ended up in a unique spot trying to get closer to the sheep. Although, it seemed that no matter where we went the sheep eventually found us. I wonder if they were curious or we just happened on the right place at the right time...every time. Our unique spot turned out to be a rock outcropping that we climbed up on which was a very small area and steep. Trying to set up a tripod on a rock at such an angle is challenging to say the least...doing that with someone else squeezed in ... even more challenging. The biggest challenge...trying to stay cool, calm and collected when the sheep were milling around us no further away than 15 feet at times. Thank goodness Mike was sitting in front of me...I liked the idea of having my own personal ram buffer! (sorry Mike, but you're younger than me and I bruise much easier!) One ram did head towards us, but I truly think they just liked messing with our heads! I'm sure I heard him snickering as he veered away just before we started thinking about getting the heck out of there.
The next images will show the small area we were all crammed into...the herd, Tim, Mike, Kevin & his son and me. You can see how rugged this area was. Hard to traverse but again, worth every minute.
