This is what I obtained to effectively run the images from the new Pro 1 camera.
I purchased a desk with enough drawers to allow me to devote some to inks and paper for the Canon i950 printer. And other drawers are devoted to either computer accessories and cables or for camera filters and lens cleaning equipment. A state of the art Apple Powerbook 15" widescreen laptop with highest-end available processor and DVD/CD burner completes the package. The DVD burner will make the unit useful when editing movies next year. The iPod (the small media player) is likewise useful as a portable 20 GB storage device for the Pro 1 and it sits attached to the JBL (Harmon Kardman) "creature" speakers including subwoofer. The iPod charges itself from the laptop. The large Griffin PowerMate dial which is also USB self powering is used to scroll through images or to control sound volume. On the sliding return-tray is a Blueooth-wireless keyboard and a Bluetooth-wireless optical mouse. The entire system is fitted with Airport Extreme giga Ethernet wireless internet transmitters (50 MBPS!) and files are shared wirelessly between this computer and others in the house. When working in the dark, the keyboard uses over 245 electro-illuminescent cables (about 5 times the thickness of a sheet of paper) to backlight itself with an intense yet subtle mercury-vapour lamp. The candles to the right are coconut scented and the frosted glass candle to the left is mocca scented (mouthwatering!). My cat knows to stay away from all of this but he keeps trying to chew at the Kentia Palm to the left of the desk. See new images below for the completed configuration with 300GB Maxor E-drive and the new Apple 23" HD screen. With the workstation completed, I can now work faster and more effectively on the upcoming slated projects.
