I couldnt find a favourite gallery, they all were! I'm so impressed I'm off to sell my camera, and the laptop, maybe the house too...I'm just gonna find a cave.
E. K. Schafhauser 18-Feb-2006 23:21
Ellis,
Sacred Chapel once again well done. Each time I visit a new gallerery you are really pusing the layering technique. (might this reflect the multi layers of the self that you are manifesting in your own creative talents?)
Guest 26-Jan-2006 07:28
Your photos have a great style to them. I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Thank you for the kind comments on my galleries, I'm still learning how to take a good photo. I've learned a lot from looking at other galleries here at Pbase including yourself.

Thank you,

Ellsworth, thank you for your trust, and for the opening to your soul you unlocked for me. If there's one artist on Pbase, it's you.

Well I enjoyed your "impressionist" work! But your portfolio is much more than that. I keep coming back and exploring your galleries and I always find something that provokes a response in me. And that's a good thing!!
Jan Wuytack 29-Jun-2005 15:42
You have some really nice pictures. I look forward to more.

Ellsworth. Thanks for visiting my galleries. Concerning your request for photos of Hippie Hollow. I think nudity in the context of this society is as corrupting as violence, in a more clandestine way. I have tasted the death of war but with my Asperger's Syndrome, any working environment is to me as personally destructive as war. I do like your photography of soft, mammalian women. Pierre.

Ellswoth,

I like your style too...thanks for the comment.

You twat you deleted my most insightful commentary! And by acting embarrassed and ashamed and in turn by formatting your galleries page to not show any comments with your photos, you've proven to me that I am right in what I say! Your words are as hollow as the wooden head of that damned dying sin-atoning man I see in the corner! If only you had been so damned sure of yourself, eh? Eh? You reckon you've got some skill or sumthin'? Go and paint with some real oil paints on a real canvas, manual-like with your hands and fingers, know wot I mean?
You're still sophistical and you damned well know it........!!
Any computer savvy person can make "impressions" out of regular photos using some software my matey friend buddy. Your photos are not very well composed and even though you're trying, the subject matters aren't very well placed either! You have got to know when to HIDE the reality in impressionism, mon ami. And then go and learn why I say you're spouting SOPHISM, and think hard, eh?
And that's just trying to get fired up, for starters. Which is, by the way, how Impressionism came to be accepted as a movement in the first place.

Hi Ellsworth,

Thank you so much for your compliment for my Taoist photos and I must say you have an unique eye for compositions that look like paintings! Keep the photos coming!

Peter

Thanks Ellsworth for stopping by at my gallery. I looked at your work, you have some impressive shots. I think I liked most the "Shows portfolio" gallery, voted for it also. Great portraits, great sunsets. See you around, keep looking at my gallery.

Based on that poem in your Profile page maybe you should give Loreena McKennitt's music a listen. It's poetry set to music.

Hi Ellsworth,

Thank for stepping up and commenting on my new galleries! You have some wonderful people shots and others. Pismo is a fun town (as you might imagine we go out to the dunes & clammin' every now and then) All the best!

hi i just bought a 300d and i see u r a 300d professional user ^^ so i think maybe i can learn lots of things from u

first...i bought the camera from the internet...and frankly i know nothin about dslr camera...my old camera is eos300 so i think 300d wont differ much ..but..here comes the first question the lcd preview window..is it always black..can we preview the picture before we shoot it? or we can just preview a pic after we shot it..because mine only show picture when yuo have shot the picture...

is it how all dslr camera works?
bruce berrien 01-Jan-2005 00:01
Ellsworth - thanks for the vote of confidence. There is always much to learn, but I'm having a good time. Looks like you are too! Cheers, Bruce

Dear Neda,

Thank you for your insight. May I guess that you are Iranian in origin? The link to Lascauz cave was just what I needed. Even in the darkness, Light. Again, thank you.
Neda Atash 21-Dec-2004 22:23
Thanks for the kind words... you'll be as great a photographer as you ever want to be, My motto for any art form is not to live in a vacuum, I tried that approach, for fear of my style imitating others, not a good venue for growth however, so now I read and view as much artwork as possible, as a learning tool, the classroom is the world of art and all the millineums of artists who've grown, starting from the wonderfully colored Paleolithic cave art in the The cave of Lascaux in France... if you haven't seen then go to http://www.culture.gouv.fr:80/culture/arcnat/lascaux/en

Hello Ellsworth!
It's a joy to add you to my favourite list. We can always learn something from each other remaining ourselves. I think that we can also guess something about people's personality looking at their pictures and from yours I perceive you are a sensitive and fanciful person.
Thank you
Marisa

Hi Ellsworth, thank you for stopping by leading me to your wonderful galleries. I am adding you to my fav list so I can follow your new postings.
Guido Tramontano Guerritore 04-Nov-2004 18:43
Ellsworth,
thank you for your nice words! I found your galleries excellent as well!
That frame is a PS action I made by myself, it took a whole week to make it :-)
Many people is asking me about it...
I read you're considering the 100-400. Its a great lens, I tried it, but consider upgrading to the 70-200 2.8 IS plus a 1.4 TC. Its a great combo!
Cheers, Guido

Ellsworth-

Thanks for stopping by my site. I am brand new to PBase and am slowly adding to my galleries but I can see you've been hard at work keeping your shooting hand in top form! Keep it up! Check out my site from time to time and I'll do the same.

Cheers

Hi Sir B.,
You've added quite a few more photos since the last time I checked here. Terrific work! Hey, I recognize some of those people!
Aestus Rogers 03-May-2004 20:06
Hey Ellsworth... took me a long time to figure out that you are pagan. A little slow on the uptake here! I am Wiccan, 1* with the Wiccan Church of Canada in Toronto. Are you not amazed at how they reveal themselves through the lens?
bryan1979 28-Apr-2004 06:15
Thank you for the great comments on my pictures. I see that you too have a few squirrel pictures. The ones around my home are pretty tame so they let me get pretty close to them. You might want to "warm" up some of your squirrel pictures, change the white balance to cloudy or shade it give a nice effect. Just a thought. Anyway thanks again, and happy shooting,
Bryan
