Utrecht is a big city, at least much bigger than the impression i got from the map. Thus I got lost. The traffic was busy and the street was crowded with home-bound people. It was during the peak hour when I arrived. I carried my 15kg backpack and wondered around aimlessly on the street before I saw the tall cathedral tower which helped me to find the right direction to the hotel.
The canals are lined with classy restaurants, bars and cafe, making it a romantic place to hang out at night. However, despite all these tempting restaurants, I still went to McDonald for dinner after shooting to save cost :P
The cathedral tower is one of the tallest in Netherlands. What's best is that visitors are allowed to climb 465 steps to the top of the tower (112 meter high) to have a bird-eye view of the city. Breathtaking view I would say!
