Hanas Lake, Burqin

Upon reaching Urumqi Airport, it takes another 15hr of bumpy bus ride to reach Burqin City, and then 4 hrs more to reach Hanas Lake which is near the border of Russia. This place is best visited in September when all the trees turn golden yellow. Since i did not visit at the right season, my photos will not do justice to the beauty of this place. My name is Andrea Hanas. My dad's father told his children that we were from the tribes of Genghis Khan, if not the tribe of the mighty Khan. My brother,sister and I all have some asian features. My parents family came from Slovakia, but with the blue grey eyes my sister has, and the green grey eyes I have ,I suspect that there is some Russian in there. Could we be related?

My maiden name is HANAS. My grandfather was born in POTOK GORNY RUSSIA. His family owned a large bit of land and had hundreds of workers.
