The Eaton Hotel, Douglas Street

The Eaton had it's moment of dubious renown in 1900. Carry Nation, a prohibitionist severely trashed the hotel bar with a hatchet and stones.

The lighting, colors and clarity are superb in this street view. There are some incredible reflections in the windows of these beautiful older buildings while the perspective allows a visual walk down the street. An excellent lead shot for this gallery. VVV

Nicely composed with is perspective and choice of focal length. I like the reflections. I will drink a toast to her tonight. "V"

Cool shot of the architecture. Ms Nation's actions probably boosted the hotels clientele. V
