This was my wife's first race as part of her training regimen for the marathon she will run in the fall. The Pike's Peak 10K is a slight downhill run from Shady Grove metro station to White Flint mall on Rockville Pike (MD 355). It usually has 2500 - 3500 participants even though there are no cash prizes. Possibly that is the same juggler (in pictures 6 & 11) who did the Marine Corps Marathon while juggling a year or two ago. The finish time is "gun time" so the runner must subtract the time it took them to cross the start line (including the 1 minute per wave delay - up to 4, plus the time it took from their wave start until they cross the start line). So Lorri's time was actually 52:35.
