Citadel was born on Monday, June 19, 2006 around 7AM, it was a difficult birth as Fawkes was a maiden mare and the baby was so big she had a hard time getting the shoulders out....but then he arrived and very vocally let us know he was here. Cid has a medicine hat like his mom and it creates a mask over his eyes these are just the begining shots taken right after he was born and I will be adding more shots later today and as he grows.

6-19-06 (PM) - Well, Fawkes is doing great she is a wonderful mom and little Z is just a bundle of joy and he is such a love!! He has fully mastered the whole getting up and down thing.

6-20-06 - The vet came out and we have a clean bill of health. Z had two short outings today to test out those long legs of his. He is starting to fill out a bit more and should be "unfolded" in the next couple of days. Oh, and he loves to have his neck scratched.

6-26-06 - Well, the name has changed Zorro is now offically Citadel.... Cid for short. the reason for the name change was to be able to tie into his Grandsire who is Sid's Good Stallion (who is a stunning horse!)

6-27-06 - Cid has finally found his legs and boy does he like to run..and jump...and rear at mama! He is such a fun little guy and just has soooo much personality its hard to believe he is only a week old....he is just so much fun!!!

7/25/06 - Cid is doing great he is 6 weeks old now and is such a good boy! He is leading like a pro, not sure about getting a bath that water might burn him...and he is getting sooooo BIG!

10/19/06 - Well Cid is now 4 months old and will be weaned very soon. He has been sold and is going to a wonderful home in WA, its gonna be tough letting him go....but I could not ask for a better home for him ;-)

5/2007 - some long over due updates have now bee posted. Cid is very happy at his new home and I could not have wished for a better place for him!
