A sculpture, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, entitled "The Day the Music Died". Local artists were selected to do sculptures to be placed around town. At the end of the summer, they will be auctioned off for charity. Themes can be most anything, but the apple shape must be maintained. This one commemorates the day musician, Buddy Holly, died in a plane crash.
