The Canon PowerShot SD20 is a tiny 5 megapixel camera, measuring only 3.5" x 1.9" x 0.7" (90mm x 47mm x 19mm) and weighing only 4.9 ounces (140g). The camera's CCD sensor size is 1/2.5" and it has a 1.5" LCD, but no viewfinder. The SD20 uses SD/MMC memory cards.
The f2.8 lens is fixed at a 35mm equivalent of 39mm. Although there is no optical zoom, there is a digital zoom available (up to 5.6X). Available ISOs are Auto, 50, 100, 200 and 400. There is a macro setting and the SD20 makes outstanding macro images.
I believe this model has been discontinued, but there are still some available at this time (7 May 2008). Canon made similar models with moderate zoom lenses (SD30, SD40), but increased the megapixel count, which led to more noise at the higher ISOs.
This little camera can go almost anywhere with you and is capable of some amazing images.
