In May 2000, my uncle Gottfried Hogh and I made a pilgrimage to Zuffenhausen to take delivery of "our" zenith blue Porsche Boxster, christened ZeeBee. At the time, my uncle had recently retired and I was spending the year in Europe on a fellowship.
My uncle wanted to visit with ZeeBee a number of places from his childhood, including his birthplace (Horna Stubna, Slovakia), various sites he and his family were refugees following World War II (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany) and places of personal interest to both of us (anything related to JS Bach).
These galleries contain a few excerpts from thousands of digital photographs my uncle and I took with his Nikon D1 during the first two weeks of May 2000.
