We visited Eisenach, a treasure trove of important historic sites. It is the birthplace and baptism site of Johann Sebastian Bach, was a onetime home to Martin Luther, and is located in the shadow of the Wartburg, the fortress where, in the 16th century, Martin Luther translated the Bible from Latin into German. And it has a nice Weihnachtsmarkt with tasty Gluehwein and Thueringer Bratwurst.
