Female species. A very powerful flyer. Catches birds in flight by a sudden burst of energy rather then by diving. These very powerful hunters are distinguised from Hawks by their longer wings. They use their notched beaks to kill prey by severing its spinal column at the neck. Located in Eastern Ontario.
