Mother Great Horned Owl has before my eyes slaughtered one crow from a large group who were harrassing her and the two owlets, all at close proximity to each other. The dead crow is visible and being held by her right talons. A leg has just been removed and is being handed to the owlet.Shortly afterwards she went to an ajoining tall tree to feed the other owlet.
