Good Morning,
Thanks for your nice comment on my "Big Hole Canyon" image...
I could have spent a week there photographing these awesome "red rock" wonders, but my Wife and I had to be at another location and was forced to run from one view point to another for some fast images., needless to say, we are planning on another trip with more time allotted for this Park...

Hi Naomi,
It was one of those "delayed lighting" strike fires. We had a storm move through our area a couple nights ago with a lot of lighting...

g fitzgerald12-Jul-2010 23:34
My son and I were coming in through St Marys on the east side and it was smokey in Glacier. Actually stopped in the road on the bike and got three of this bighorn. We camped on the other side and was going to leave next morning because of the smoke. Was clear for half a day so we went out taking shots and came back in through the smoke.
Would like to see Glacier without the smoke, gotta be beatiful.

Thanks again G Fitzgerald

Thanks for stopping by. I was on Beartooth back in 1999 and folks were still coming down some slopes on the snow, lakes were mostly frozen and cold, cold, cold. This was the second week of July too!!

Will stop by your galleries.

I like your profile, it's strange how I found it, searching the song "Hi Lili, Hi Lo" (a song of love is a sad song). I am also in Virginia, Alexandria. Hope this finds you well, I love the piano too!

Thanks for the comments Naomi on my Sand Point Gallery. This was my first outing with the 12-24 lens and it takes a bit of getting used to! A lens this wide will make almost any cloud formation look pretty good.

I´m one of the multitude who knows your region by J. Denver´s songs. You also love your country very much, I can see it by the pics..beautiful..
I still work with a poor compact camara, but every day I enter pbase I´m more decided to buy a better thing, Canon seems a good solution.
visit my gallery, regards from Barcelona, Volker

Thanks for the comments Naomi on my Bath, Cheddar & Salisbury Pictures. I was using my new 85mm lens for Cheddar/Salisbury so it's a very narrow angle of view so no "postcard style" shots! I'd like to do some night shooting, but I'm lazy and not so keen on lugging my tripod about. It looks like you had fun visiting Lulworth Cove - I want to go back there to try and improve on my original pics when I wasn't too sure about operating my D70s. Happy New Year - Adrian

Thanks for looking in on my galleries, Naomi, and thanks for the constructive comment. It's not easy to find great light all the time in England - many days are simply flat grey! I know its not strictly cricket, but perhaps a little sneaky PhotoShop might help me!!! Hehehehe!

Thanks for the nice comment but I have so much to learn in order to make the transition from simple picture taker to photographer. (Classes start next week)I really enjoyed the Winchester gallery as this was my home for several years long before the Apple Blossom Mall. Last time I returned, I couldn't even find my way arond town! And yes, you are correct, the Shenandoah Valley is a special place. Once you've lived there, it remains in your soul forever.

Thanks for the comments. You were more than kind. I'm headed back to Massanutten in June of this year. We tend to use time-share weeks and this is a great place. As a bonus, the water park should be open now. However, this year I want to spend two or three days hiking in Shenandoah NP.

Hi Naomi -

Nice photos, I really like the symmetry and color in the hollyhock. And then there's that lily that John Ashcroft would have ordered covered...
