At Cacaxtla the Olmec-Xicallanca built their ceremonial centre on a natural platform
650 feet long during the 8th and 9th centuries. The Great Platform, which rises about
80 feet above the surrounding valley is not a single entity but a complex of plazas,
ceremonial areas and temples.
