Puerto Varas Puerto Varas is a small city located in the lake region of southern Chile. It is well known for its German influence. It is located on the shore of Llanquihue Lake. The streets of this town are lined with roses of many colors, including multi-colored ones.

While in this area, we went up on the Osorno Volcano, which has an almost perfect cone. We also went to Saltos Rio Petrohue, Laguna Verde, and Frutillar.
