Thank you, Bob, for your interest in my book. Unfortunately, all of the limited edition copies of "The JDSSC Experience" (published in 2018) were sold out. We are considering doing another limited edition, which requires payment up front of at least 10 copies. Even then, the cost is $125. per book, and I am not personally willing to commit to such an investment, without a firm commitment. Truly sorry to disappoint you. The book was a labor of love, done to commemorate JDSSC's 40th Anniversary, October 2018.

Vincent! What a lovely comment. Thank you. As we are both visual communicators, it means SO MUCH when our work is viewed & enjoyed by others! I love your B&W image with the woman wearing the red hat! Not sure HOW you do that, but it's made me look at some of my old images differently, wondering: "How would this image change if I added a splash of color?" Oh, the joy of being artists & being free to express & capture the joys of life. Before I forget - I also lived in Chicago (1977-78), but left after one year. Those winters...my goodness. "Only the brave..." Please let's keep sharing. I titled my first book "Magical Moments in Everyday Life" - which is really what we do, right? My work was influenced by two wonderful photojournalists: Andre Kertesz and Ruth Orkin. Who influenced your way of seeing? Okay. It's midnight here in Seattle...and YES, it's still raining! Good you moved to Italy! I'm going to look up Bari on the map! Anon!

I am honored by you viewing my photos.
I am not a professional photographer, but an amateur for few years. I love street, portrait and travel photography.
I lived in Chicago for 30 years, but came back to my homeland Italy since 1991. I live in southern Italy near the city of Bari on the Adriatic Sea. Hope you come this way....there is plenty to see and...photograph.
I will be looking for your photos......ciao. Vincent

To Nancy Clendaniel,

I hope you are doing well. I am interested in using a photo you took of Tina Turner in 1984 in my book on African American women in rock. Could you contact me about this? The photo is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Archives. Thank you!

Hi Nancy, this is Zina, me and my family met you in Catalina Island this past April, after you took some pictures of us on the beach. I was supposed to email you when we got back home so you can send me the pictures but it took me forever to do so lol. We are the couple with the little girl and the baby. Hope to hear from you soon.

Would love to see the JDSSC pics/book you mentioned to Joey Herrick. I, too, worked with John throughout that period and put a lot of my heart and soul into the camp.

Nancy,
What a talent you are. I can feel the emotion in everyone of your shots.
I'm sure you are as interesting as your subjects, to be able to catch just that perfect moment.
