They are under my Fothergilla. It is a cool bush, has bottle-brush flowers in early spring, then great orange/red fall color. In the foreground is an Astilbe. I had a bed of them at the old house, but tenants let the Morning Glories and Rudbeckia choke them out. This one is next to the end of the stream bed that leads from the Japanese Maple to the grass. I have stones in the stream bed, so you may see parts of it in some shots. Oh, the red is a Dianthus, I think.
