Minolta Rokkor - X PG 1:1.2 Modifed to fit Sony A900
Here is an old and in average shape Rokkor - X PG 1:1.2 Minolta Lens modified in 2 hours (including adjustment) to fit Maxxum/Sony Alpha autofocus confirm mount.
Basically i have took an M42 autofocus config adapter for Alpha mount and i have just drilled 4 holes at the correct place (same as the new Alpha mount) to fit it on the back of the old lens. There is about 2 mm plastic spacer that has been place on the back to move the glass about the maximum distance from the moving mirror of the camera.
The result, you have a 58mm F/1.2 functional and ready to focus from minimum distance to infinity. In fact the spacer of 2mm made the lens focus a little bit closer (50mm instead of 60mm). But this dot not affect the infinity focus for this close adjustment. Take a look at the picture.
All ORIGINAL FILES are JPEG XFINE 24 mega pixels straight from the camera.
Almost all my setting are base on Landscape Creative mode or Portrait. With +1 contrast, +1 Sharpness. Exterior picture (due to the bright sun) i have reduce the Brightness of -2.
