Wow... When I looked at those Front-Line photo's I didn't even recognize myself or remember the show... I guess one of the bennys of dead braincells and years behind you is the joy of all those memories jarred loose. You were always at the show Murray!
Do you have any pics of the Broken Bones/Special Forces/Drab/Sorex/Defy gig at Ruthies in early '85?
I sang for Sorex ... I believe I was wearing a Misfits "Evilive" T-shirt.
uh, in the past?
Where's 86, 87, 88, et al?
Great stuff I'm very glad to have such history recorded. Thanks alot.
I just spent over an hour going through your pics Murray, I feel like I just went back in time. People have no idea, the 80's were the best and would never give up those days. The Bay Area scene was the best, so many friends and so many memories. Thanks Murray! When on FACEBOOK check out my photo albums, some great skate memories and a few pics you gave me back in the day for one of our zines or somthing, Thanks again,
These photos bring back so many memories. It feels like it was all from a movie, like it wasn't real. Over the years people ask, "what was it like growing up in the punk scene?" and each time I try to answer I never can convey what your photos have captured. Raw 100% energy with NO hesitation. Man, that was fun! Thanks Murray for always being there with your camera and sorry for the time I stagedived or spit beer on ya! Hope you are well.
What a fucking good time we all had!!

Murray if you had not done what you have done so much might have been lost and forgotten. Thanks for all those 25 cent pictures! I treasure them.
Murray, man, I have to say how much I cherish any and all photographs you have taken of so many dear and loved brothers and sisters...Bowles por vida...love, love, and more.

Thanks a bunch...!

Holy shit! It's nice to see the scene a scant 21 years later! Good job Murray, you rip and thanks for posting this priceless collection!
Murray, thanks for having the foresight to capture and cohesively log the zeitgeist of Bay Area teen angst! I never had any yearbook photos or graduation portraits taken because I was too busy trying to find a ride home from the Tool & Die most school nights, and if it wasn't for you and your shutter I would have fewer memories of who I am and used to be all those years ago. Your pix have rekindled something in me that I thought was lost a long time ago. But then, that's what great art is supposed to do. Inspire.
Thanks for being an inspiration.

thanks murray, for being so diligent and creative in documenting a scene that would have been forever lost if the handful of people like you didn't take the time to support an important part of punk history. your exhibits and others helped make the reunion a nostalgic trip into our collective youth. those of us that lived thru that period and survived it all and moved on with our lives will be forever grateful.
