Driving home at the end of the day
I said, "Ok, time for the 'Photo of the Day'
Show me the glow."
Over the beach and the sea
nothing but gray for as far as I could see
On the hillside, the first storm of March
a few days early,
was just beginning to soak the surfaces.
That must be it, then, I thought and shot,
recalling the many nights of camping in the rain.
Then at home, just after uploading the image,
as darkness descended on the gray,
an eerie glow prevailed, lighting up the sky.
Aha! That is what I was looking for.
It is not a place or thing, but something happening there.
If no one is present to see, is there still light?
Can you see the wind?
In the frantic dancing of the trees.
Can you feel the rain?
In the single drop captured on its way through.
