This red background is similar to that used in the King's Pavillion at the Royal Ratchaphruek Gardens. This is in a wat in the silversmithing area just below Chang Lor Rd which is the southern of the four roads which outline the inner, old city of Chiang Mai, founded in A.D. 1296. (Don't ask me what year that is of the Buddhist Era. Feb marked the beginning of 2556 B.E. I think).
