This quiet alpine lake has been my go-to place when I want some relaxed time with Mother Nature.

Sadly, this view will totally change in the next few years; the lake will be drained and rebuilt to allow more water behind the dam and provide a much bigger parking lot for the hordes of people who like to fish and hike from the nearby trailhead. The crowds that visit this Memorial Day will surely leave behind garbage again, when I go up on Monday evening, I will take some garbage bags with me that I will fill while waiting for the good light to happen.
