This crow called for it's mate several times, then waited and watched patiently. Nearly an hour went by as the black bird moved to various locations along the rock wall over the vast canyon below. Finally, the mate arrived and after a briefly sitting together, they flew away.

When the pair decided to fly away, they simply spread their wings and were lifted without effort into the sky from the wind blowing up the face of the cliff below.
