Make no mistake about it, the stallions have at their disposal a very powerful weapon. You can see in this image the bite that is the cause of so many open wounds and later scars that cover the bodies of sexually mature stallions. I have many photos of gaping flaps of muscle hanging from the rear end of horses that were caught in the teeth of a rival. The images are too graphic to post.
