I hav'nt been out to see the wild horses for a quite a while, and it was good to get there again late this afternoon. I only found one small band of mustangs, the others must be hidden high in the canyons foraging on the south facing slopes where the snow has melted.

Because the smog in my hometown has been very nasty lately, I was excited to drive the 100-plus miles to get to what I thought would be clean skies. But there was as much haze in the desert as at home.
