This entry is influenced by a book I read during my holiday, on the terrible situation of women in Afganisthan. This pic is taken in Eastern Turkey, some 15 years ago. Also in this country there is a big contrast between the more 'western' Istanbul (south-west) and the eastern part, which borders with Iran and Irak. (Not that I want to compare Turkey with Afganisthan of course !)
